Thursday, September 2  Zionsville, IN lions club fall festival

  • Shop local meat, produce, and artisan items at the Whitestown Farmers’ Market from 5 – 8 p.m. at Main Street Park.
  • Explore the First Thursday Gallery Opening featuring INFiber artists at the Sugar Creek Art Center in Thorntown from 5 – 8 p.m. JC Cocina will be open for dinner!
  • Order carryout meals from local restaurants and visit nearby businesses during Night on the Bricks in downtown Zionsville from 5 – 9 p.m.
  • Hear Indiana’s current Poet Laureate, Matthew Graham, read selected poems during Poetry on Brick Street at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center in Zionsville beginning at 7 p.m.

Friday, September 3

  • Start your day at the Morning Bird Walk at Starkey Park in Zionsville beginning at 8:30 a.m. Be sure to rsvp.
  • Join in Story Time at Elm Street Green in Zionsville to celebrate the StoryWalk featuring the new book Countdown to Fall by Frank Hawk. The program begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Meet new friends at the CICOA Senior Luncheon at the Thorntown Library – Room 116 at 11:30 a.m.
  • Experience Polo at Sunset at Hickory Hall Polo Club in Whitestown from 6 – 9 p.m. Bring your own food, drinks, seating, and tents to enjoy tailgating, and music at this family friendly event. $40 per car. Proceeds benefit Craine House and Circle City Clubhouse.
  • Join in a game of Friday Night Magic at Friendly City Games in Lebanon starting at 6:15 p.m. $5 entry fee.
  • Take in the play, “The Guys” at Center Stage Community Theater in Lebanon beginning at 7 p.m. This timeless drama explores the surprising truths people can discover in ordinary lives, and the connections we make with others and ourselves in times of tragedy. $15 – $17 pp
  • Take the kids to M.E.L.S. at the Starlite Drive-In in Mechanicsburg for an old-fashioned drive-in movie night. Box office opens at 7:30 p.m. $25 per carload.

Saturday, September 4

  • Purchase locally grown produce, plants, foods, coffee and tea, breads and pastries, pasta, peanut butter, eggs, and meats at the Zionsville Farmers’ Market from 8 – 11:30 a.m. between Pine & Hawthorne Streets in downtown Zionsville.
  • Join Blooming Life Yoga for Free Community Yoga at Lions Park in Zionsville at 9 a.m.
  • Check out Farm Days at Wonder Tree Regenerative Farm in Zionsville from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. There will be chicks, ducks, goats, donkeys, piggies, horse rides, cotton candy, desserts, refreshments, and freedom to explore the countryside. $10 per car
  • Stock up at the Wisewood Farm Produce Stand at Donaldson’s Finer Chocolates in Lebanon  from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and then pick up a sweet treat for the trip home.
  • Learn interesting facts about our native birds and see live ones up close during LiveBirds presented by Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation at Mulberry Fields in Zionsville. The programs will be held at 10 & 11: 30 a.m. Registration required by contacting Wild Birds Unlimited (317) 334-1883.
  • Check out Brunch with the Snakes at the Zionsville Nature Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. Naturalists will share information on their unique adaptations as they eat mice whole. RSVP required.
  • Enjoy live music and a glass of wine at Hopwood Cellars Winery in Zionsville from 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Visit the Heritage Museum and learn about the history of Thorntown from 11 – 4 p.m. or check out the art exhibitions and gift shop at Sugar Creek Art Center in Thorntown between 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Enjoy the History in the Heart Concert by the Boone County Community Band. This 4 p.m. concert will be held on the eastside of the Boone County Courthouse in Lebanon.
  • Come discover the Historic Lebanon Courthouse Square during History in the Heart from 4 – 7 p.m. Shop City Market vendors, listen to the Boone County Community Band a and take a self-guided walking tour of the downtown square powered by the free smartphone app, Distrx.
