Fall fun abounds in Boone County this month! Check out some of what’s happening:

  • Dull’s Tree Farm in Thorntown is hosting their Pumpkin Harvest every weekend in October from 10-7 on Saturday and 1-7 on Sunday. With an 8 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, 100 ft slides, apple cannons, tire mountain, corn box, barrel train, wagon rides, duck races, playground and so MUCH MORE, you are bound to spend the day with the whole family growing memories on their 40 acre Christmas tree farm. Admission is $10 per person, $7 per person for active military and seniors (65+) and free for kids 2 and under. First responders get in free if they show their credentials at admission.

  • The Headless Horseman rides again every weekend in October at the Indiana Fear Farm in Jamestown. This haunted hayride has been scaring and entertaining it’s visitors for years. This 20 minute heart-pounding, action packed ride into the dark forest is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before! Don’t forget to check out the haunted barn where over 40 actors will interact with you on an up close and personal level.
  • Take a haunted walking tour of Zionsville on October 5 and 6. Tours leave every 15 minutes from 6-9 p.m.
  • Check out the 2018 Fall Marketplace at the Whitestown Municipal Complex from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6. Come peruse a variety of products and get your holiday shopping done early.
  • Loosen your Leiderhosen, Moontown Brewing Company in Whitestown is throwing its first annual Oktoberfest – a celebration of beer, music, and the birthplace of beer. The 21+ party will last all day on Saturday, October 6 and will take-over Moontown’s entire facility. The day will consist of special Oktoberfest beer tappings and discounted ($5) Moontown beers, two live concerts, German costumes, stein-holding and cornhole contests, das boots and more. Space is limited to ticketed guests only, so reserve your spot now.
  • Enjoy apple cider, live music, activities and more at the Apple Cider Festival on Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Pleasant Acres Nature Park in Jamestown.
  • Don’t miss the inaugural Sunshine Music Festival and Fall Market from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, October 6 in Lebanon. This free, family-friendly event includes live music, food, arts and craft vendors and more. The best part? You’ll be supporting a non-profit that provides programs for Hoosiers with intellectual disabilities.
  • Pack your suit and pick your pumpkin at the Floating Pumpkin Patch at the Witham Family YMCA in Lebanon at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 13. Everyone is invited to hop in the pool and pick out a pumpkin during this unique twist on an autumn right of passage. The cost per pumpkin is $5 for members and $10 per pumpkin for others.
