Lebanon, Ind.Fundae’s Ice Cream and Sweets has opened in Whitestown with help from the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) Microloan Program.

Fundae’s owners Donny and Kas Miller and joined by representatives from the Boone EDC and the Town of Whitestown as they cut the ribbon on their new location in Whitestown.

“The Boone EDC offers the microloan program for small business owners in Boone County who are seeking funding for specific projects,” said Boone EDC Deputy Director Ben Worrell. “We are excited to help local entrepreneurs move from concept, to on-paper plan, to reality – that is what the Boone EDC is here to do for entrepreneurs and small business owners in Boone County.”

Owners Donny and Kas Miller received a microloan from the Boone EDC to purchase equipment for their new location at 7157 E. Whitestown Parkway.

“Whitestown and the Boone EDC have been great to work with. Everyone is very supportive of our business and great at answering our questions,” said Kas. “We chose to locate our business in Whitestown because of the growth the area has seen and because of the emphasis on families and building a community,”

“We are pleased to welcome Fundae’s to our fast-growing community of Whitestown,” said Whitestown Town Manager Dax Norton. “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and we wish the Miller family many years of success.”

In addition to a wide selection of scooped ice cream, Fundae’s also offers shakes, sundaes, cookie sandwiches and custom ice cream cakes. They offer options to fit all dietary needs including non-dairy, gluten free and low sugar choices.

The Miller family is focused on being a strong community partner and recently raised over $3,000 for the family of Boone County Sheriff Deputy Jake Pickett during their soft opening.

“We hope Fundae’s will be a place that you can make memories with your family,” said Kas. “Come in, grab your favorite scoop, sit back and relax.”
