Lebanon, Ind. – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) has unveiled a new brand identity including a new logo, color palette and website.
“As the economic development leader in Boone County, it is important that the Boone EDC has a consistent, recognizable look,” said Boone EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead. “Our new brand identity better represents our organization’s ability to help make meaningful connections and our ripple effect in the community.”
The new logo features interlocking circles that signify unity and connection, while the size disparity between the green and blue circles indicates growth in Boone County. Incorporating the circles into the typography was an intentional decision to embrace Boone County for all that it is.
“The colors in the official color palette were chosen for very specific reasons,” said Boone EDC Director of Marketing and Communications Kim Heffner. “While blue feels like a ripple in water, it also represents the impact that the Boone EDC has in the community. Green represents the growth Boone EDC is working to bring to the community and gray provides the harmony and balance that every community organization needs.”
Also included in the Boone EDC’s new brand identity is a new website (www.betterinboone.org) which piggybacks off its popular hashtag #BetterInBoone. The website will serve as a resource to corporate executives, elected officials, small business owners and the general public.
A database of all available sites and buildings in Boone County is easily accessible on the website in addition to a wealth of data and demographic information. Small business owners can get connected with the information and financial resources they need to grow their business. Community information, news and an events calendar are also part of the new design.
“Our community has grown and evolved throughout the years, and we felt it was the right time for a fresh look,” said Whitehead. “We look forward to utilizing our new brand identity to leverage Boone County in the region and beyond.”
