Thursday, October.15

  • Enter your Spooky Pooch and Frightening Feline to Win Petrifyingly Great Prizes during the Humane Society for Boone County’s Halloween Pet Contest. Find more info here.
  • Donate your gently used or new coats to the 2020 Coat Drive. Drop off your donations at Royal Cleaners in Lebanon for cleaning. All coats will be donated to The Caring Center to keep our neighbors warm this winter. The coat drive runs through October 16.

Friday, October 16

  • Read around the square at the Lebanon Public Library’s first downtown Story Stroll! Start at the library for Stop #1. Each stop will tell you what downtown business window to go to next to continue the story!
  • Visit Art In Hand Gallery in Zionsville throughout the month of October and bid on the Silent Auction items designed by local artists and the Arc Artisans. Proceeds to benefit the Arc of Greater Boone County.
  • Explore Countryside Antique Mall near Thorntown from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Bring the kids and take part in the Fall Scavenger Hunt at the Zion Nature Center in Zionsville. Stop by anytime between 12 – 5 p.m.
  • Join in the Quilters Club at Thorntown Library from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
  • Get ready to be scared as you venture through Fright Forest at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon. The frightful fun begins runs from 7:30 – 11 p.m. $5-$10 per person.
  • Treat your family to classic movies at M.E.L.S. at the Starlite Drive-In in Mechanicsburg. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. This weekend’s features include “Coco” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Saturday, October 17

  • Explore the Tru-Finds Treasures Flea Market in Lebanon from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Kick off your weekend at Dull’s Pumpkin Harvest in Mechanicsburg from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Enjoy pumpkin picking, big slides, slingshots, tire mountain, corn maze, wagon ride, barrel train, the corn maze and 30 plus other activities for your family to enjoy! Timed entrance tickets must be purchased in advance. $9 – 12 per person / 2 and under free.
  • Peruse the Sugar Creek Art Center’s October Exhibition: INFiber Color Explosion by quilters of Boone County from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Grab a pencil and paper and join in Saturday Scribbles with Hussey Mayfield Public Library. This is a casual art tutorial series where you can learn techniques from character design to zentangle patterns. Each Saturday a new tutorial will be posted at 11 a.m.
  • Learn about Remote Control cars at the RC Crawlers Meet Up at Abner Longley Park in Lebanon beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Create art projects inspired by the season during the Leaf Art program at Zion Nature Center in Zionsville. The program begins at 2 p.m.
  • Paint a fall scene with artist in residence, Anita Gordon, during Fall, Food & Fine Arts at the Sugar Creek Art Center in Thorntown from 5 – 7 p.m. Food catered by JC Cocina. $35 per person.
  • Support the Cancer Fundraiser at the Lebanon Eagles from 5 – 11 p.m. Dinner – $9 / Dancing to follow. (Carry out available.) Proceeds benefit the Boone County Cancer Society.

  • Bring back balance to your mind/body/soul during the free Community Yoga Class at the Indiana Yoga Studio in Lebanon. Be sure to register online for this 5 p.m. class.
  • Bring your friends and compete in a friendly game of Pub Trivia at That Sports Bar in Lebanon. The fun begins at 7 p.m.

  • Save a life by donating blood at the Boone EDC Mobile Blood Drive in Lebanon on October 20 from 2 – 6 p.m.
  • Support the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County at the annual Z-Gravy Chase in Zionsville on November 26. Virtual and In-Person registration is available.
