Zionsville, Ind. – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) in conjunction with zWORKS awarded Zionsville entrepreneur Matt Phillips, CEO and co-founder of an online lifestyle retail corporation called Parker Gwen, a membership to the zWORKS co-working space.

“Through the GROW Program, the Boone EDC awards an annual membership for zWORKS to an entrepreneur or small business owner seeking to grow and expand here in Boone County,” said Boone EDC Deputy Director Ben Worrell. “We are excited to take part in Matt’s next step as an entrepreneur and we look forward to watching him thrive at zWORKS.”

zWORKS is an entrepreneurial and co-working center located in the heart of downtown Zionsville that opened in 2015. They recently expanded into a second location nearby and added three more offices for startups and five meeting rooms.

“Boone County is fortunate to have an economic development team that is creative about ways to ignite startups and entrepreneurs,” said zWORKS Executive Director Kate Swanson. “Matt is a dynamic young entrepreneur that Zionsville is fortunate to attract. It will be fun for the zWORKS community to support and watch Parker Gwen grow.”

Phillips, a Zionsville resident, is the co-founder and CEO of Parker Gwen. Parker Gwen is an online shopping experience that focuses on the customers’ lifestyle and hobbies providing inspiration, products and service.

“zWORKS provides a great community network that we are looking forward to getting in contact with through this program,” said Phillips. “Building relationships with like-minded entrepreneurs and interested professionals from the Boone County area can help us navigate the complexity and challenges of successfully growing our business.”
