Thursday, October 1

  • Participate in the Lebanon Public Library’s first downtown Story Stroll! Start at the library for Stop #1. Each stop will tell you what downtown business window to go to next to continue the story!
  • Peruse the Sugar Creek Art Center’s First Thursday Exhibition: INFiber Color Explosion by quilters of Boone County, enjoy food by JC Cocina, and live music by the Plum Street Players. The event runs from 5 – 9 p.m.
  • Enjoy the Black Box Theatre Company’s production of Frozen Jr. at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon. The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets: $5 – $15.
  • Donate your gently used or new coats to the 2020 Coat Drive. Drop off your donations at Royal Cleaners in Lebanon for cleaning. All coats will be donated to The Caring Center to keep our neighbors warm this winter. The coat drive runs through October 16.

Friday, October 2

  • Visit Art In Hand Gallery in Zionsville throughout the month of October and bid on the Silent Auction items designed by local artists and the Arc Artisans. Proceeds to benefit the Arc of Greater Boone County.
  • Explore Countryside Antique Mall near Thorntown from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Pack a picnic and attend Polo at Sunset – Horsepower on the Green at Hickory Hall Polo Club in Whitestown from 5 – 9 p.m. $20 per car. Proceeds benefit the Jacob Pickett Response Organization.
  • Join in a Magic The Gathering Tournament at Friendly City Games in Lebanon beginning at 6:15 p.m.  $15 entry fee.
  • Enjoy the Black Box Theatre Company’s production of Frozen Jr. at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon. The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets: $5 – $15.
  • Treat your family to classic movies at M.E.L.S. at the Starlite Drive-In in Mechanicsburg. Gates open at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 3

  • Take a refreshing stroll or run the Hit The Bricks 5K in Zionsville. The race begins at 8 a.m. $25 single / $60 family
  • Get ahead of flu season at the Free Flu Shot Clinic at Witham Health Services in Lebanon from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Drive-In service in the ambulance bay and walk-in service at the North Pavilion “B” Entrance. All ages welcome.
  • Watch Us Farm will host their Annual Fall Festival for kids with special needs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Enjoy the pumpkin patch, meet the farm animals and more! Families must register for a timed ticket.
  • Kick off your weekend at Dull’s Pumpkin Harvest in Mechanicsburg from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Enjoy pumpkin picking, big slides, slingshots, tire mountain, corn maze, wagon ride, barrel train, the corn maze and 30 plus other activities for your family to enjoy! Timed entrance tickets must be purchased in advance. $9 – 12 per person / 2 and under free.
  • Learn about Remote Control cars at the RC Crawlers Meet Up at Abner Longley Park in Lebanon beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Meet paranormal investigator and author Pete Nunweiler at Between the Pages Bookstore in Lebanon at 11 a.m. His trilogy based on personal experiences will be available for sale.
  • Grab a pencil and paper and join in Saturday Scribbles with Hussey Mayfield Public Library. This is a casual art tutorial series where you can learn techniques from character design to zentangle patterns. Each Saturday a new tutorial will be posted at 11 a.m.
  • Bring the family and join a Naturalist for a Family Nature Hike through the Zion Nature Sanctuary at 2 p.m. in Zionsville. The group will look for evidence of the changing season through hands-on exploration and activities.
  • Enjoy the WiseWood Fall Festival in Lebanon from 2 – 6 p.m. There will be a U-pick pumpkin patch, fresh produce, apple cider and popcorn, as well as a variety of activities that are family friendly.
  • Kick off the month during Oktoberfest at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon beginning at 4 p.m. German sausages, kraut, schnitzel beans and potato salad will be served during this Drive-thru event. $10 per meal. Pre-orders encouraged. Limited walk-up orders will be available.
  • Check out the Lebanon City Market – Extended Season on the Downtown Square from 4 – 7 p.m.
  • Pick up a delicious dinner from the Boone County Shrine Club’s Chicken & Pulled Pork BBQ at the American Legion in Lebanon. Drive thru service available from 4 – 7 p.m. $10 per meal.

  • Join in the Virtual Self Love Book Club with Dr. Lane beginning at 3 p.m. This month’s book, “Their Eyes Were Watching God” by Zora Neale Hurston is a novel of a black woman living in the 1930s who set out to be her own person. Oprah has said it is one of her most favorite love stories.
  • Get recharged during Community Yoga at Lebanon Memorial Park Bandstand led by the Indiana Yoga Center. Class begins at 5 p.m. $5 per person.
