Thursday, November 7

  • Meet the artists at Sugar Creek Art Center’s First Thursday Art Show in Thorntown. Peruse animal-themed art by Indiana artists from 5 – 8 p.m.
  • Lights will be on and volume down for the Sensory Friendly Film Night at Hussey Mayfield Public Library in Zionsville. The movie The Secret Life of Pets begins at 6 p.m. Audience members will be free to talk, sing, move around and enjoy the movie in a welcoming, supportive environment!
  • Join in a free, fun and informative evening at Poetry on Brick Street in Zionsville from 7 – 8:30 p.m. A guest poet will read, followed by open mic! Poets and poetry lovers of all styles and forms welcome to attend.

Friday, November 8

  • Bring your toddlers to Animal Adventures at Hussey Mayfield Public Library in Zionsville. Naturalists from the Zion Nature Center will share their knowledge about geese at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the Library for story time fun, then walk to the Nature Center to meet and learn about the real animals that live there.
  • Roll up your sleeve and save a life by donating blood at the ZPD Blood Drive at Zionsville Town Hall between 10:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
  • Bring your quilting project and make new friends at Thorntown Public Library from 12:30 – 2 p.m.
  • Coloring isn’t just for kids! Color Me Calm at Hussey Mayfield Public Library in Zionsville can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve motor skills and focus, and boost creativity! Drop by for a relaxing afternoon of coloring between 1- 3 p.m.
  • Enjoy the live music of Roller at Hopwood Cellars Winery in Zionsville from 7 – 8 p.m.

Saturday, November 9

  • Help out a neighbor at the Habitat for Humanity Repair Project in Whitestown from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Volunteers will cut down trees, remove bushes and do winter yard prep for a local resident.
  • Throw your name into the Goblet of Fire, make a wand, and work your way through a scavenger hunt during Harry Potter Day at the Lebanon Public Library. Kids of all ages are invited to participate from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Brush up on your computer skills at the Lebanon Public Library from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. This week’s session covers the internet, online resources and how to navigate Google.
  • Have fun during the Speak Easy Ranch Fall Festival at the  in Zionsville from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be hayrides, pony rides, a bake sale, concessions and vendors.
  • Be the first to see the 2019 holiday collection at Fivethirty Home Holiday Open House in Zionsville from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Giveaways all day. Special Sale items. Treats and more!
  • Bring the kids to Children’s Hour at the Tri-Area Library in Jamestown beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be stories and crafts for age 2 – 10.
  • Stop by the first annual Fall Frolic Shopping Event at Cedars Activity Center in Lebanon from 12 – 4 p.m. There will be multiple crafters and vendors to help with your holiday shopping list!
  • Create your own bird feeder and discover how you can participate in Project FeederWatch at Citizen Science for the Birds at Zion Nature Center in Zionsville. The program runs from 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Come and play at the Pokemon League at Hussey Mayfield Public Library in Zionsville from 3 – 4:30 p.m.  Kids and adults alike are invited to bring their cards or Nintendo DS or other Pokemon related items.
  • Join in Family Movie Night at Whitestown Municipal Complex. Watch a belly dancing performance at 5 p.m., followed by the movie, Aladdin, at 7 p.m.
