Lebanon, Ind. – Boone County nonprofits interested in completing an arts project are encouraged to attend a workshop on January 8 to learn about available funding from the Indiana Arts Commission.

The workshop, hosted by the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) and the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC), will be held Wednesday, January 8 at 4 p.m. at the Boone EDC office located at 2030 Indianapolis Avenue in Lebanon.

“We’re pleased to provide this opportunity to help local nonprofits receive funding to bring more art projects to Boone County and improve the quality of life for our residents,” said Boone EDC Workforce and Community Development Manager Amy Hammerle.

Arts Project Support grants provide funding to Indiana arts and non-arts organizations to support arts activities, such as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an educational seminar, or series of related arts activities, such as art classes or training sessions.

“The IAC is excited to support the arts projects and arts organizations of Boone County through our Regional Initiative grant program,” said IAC Arts Education and Accessibility Manager Stephanie Haines. “Grants workshops are a great way for the IAC to hear what is important to a community and help guide applicants through the grant process one-on-one.”
