Lt Gov Sue EllspermannMay 12th, 2015 – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) announced today Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann as the keynote speaker for their 2015 Annual Meeting.  Sue Ellspermann was inaugurated as Indiana’s 50th lieutenant governor in January 2013.   Sue Ellspermann was born in Dubois County, Indiana, received her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University and  holds a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Louisville.

Under Indiana law, the Lt. Governor serves as President of the Indiana Senate and Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development.  She also manages six state agencies including the State Department of Agriculture, Office of Community and Rural Affairs, Office of Tourism Development, Office of Defense Development, Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.  Additionally, the Lt. Governor chairs the Indiana Counter Terrorism and Security Council.
