Lebanon, Ind. – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) announces the hiring of Megan Swain as Director of Community Development.

Megan Swain joins the Boone EDC as Director of Community Development.

Swain will be responsible for championing creative placemaking efforts and cultivating new business relations for the Boone EDC.

A Boone County resident, Swain comes from a successful career in sales and customer service. Most recently, she served as an account manager at Coca-Cola and prior to that was a customer relationship representative for the Indianapolis Colts.

“Quality of life matters in economic development and our ability to attract and retain employees and employers,” said Boone EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead. “Megan’s role as Director of Community Development will help us attract new talent and improve our overall community.”

Swain has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Indiana University.

“I look forward to working with our municipalities and other community organizations to leverage the assets Boone County has to offer,” said Swain.

Swain begins working at the Boone EDC on August 7.
